I made an account when OSRS came back

Old School Runescape has been open for a year to members. Members can visit the F2P worlds. Just F2P accounts have to be new. If you buy membership on RS Gold an old account it will be able to play on OSRS too, including members areas.

So, I made an account when OSRS came back (february 2013) and played for 3-4 months or so. If I started paying for membership again, I could visit the F2P world everyone is in right now with this account? Then what was the deal about

"only fresh accounts can join the F2P servers"?

Fresh means new. Accounts made today and during this trial will be able to play F2P on OSRS. Old non-member accounts, made before this trial, will not be able to play on F2P OSRS worlds.

"Old" accounts may only be used on OSRS by being members, as it has ALWAYS been for the past year. These members of course can still use the F2P worlds if they want to, just like regular runescape has always been.

Alright. I think my confusion spawns from the fact that I constantly forget that OSRS and RS3 somehow work with the same account managment system. Thanks for clarifying though So this is RS2 circa mid 00's? That was pretty sketchy then, too.
